Advise on finance, fundraising and budgeting
If you don’t know where to start, we will sit down and guide you through the process step by step. We’ll review your financials and advise on how to structure the finance and giving to your church development project. As we also provide loans to churches, we can assist you in the process of applying for a church loan.
Review project planning and budgets with your church
We can sit down with your Treasurer and finance team to review project plans and budgets to ensure the project is feasible. Where we finance the church loan, we will work with your church and the project manager to ensure progress payments to contractors are made according to the loan schedule as the project develops.
Finance property acquisitions and development
When your church project is ready to start we can help you with the finance. Our loans are designed specifically to help churches purchase and develop property for mission and ministry. We’re better than a bank because we don’t charge fees and because we hold title as Trustee, no mortgage is required.
Arrange for property appraisals and valuations
We can arrange for a market appraisal of your property or formal valuation if required. There are many reasons why you may require an appraisal or valuation. Sometimes the process can become complex, for example where there are legal or tax consequences. As Trustee of your church title we will advise you on the right course of action and arrange for the appropriate professional to inspect your property.
Deal on your behalf with real estate agents
Anyone who owns their own house is likely to have experienced the stress that property sales can bring. Church property can be even more demanding because of the unique nature of church buildings and the involvement of the church leadership and congregation. Prepare legal documentation through our lawyers
As Trustee of your church title, our lawyers will ensure contracts, vendor statements and other required documentation is reviewed and correct. Finding the right people for the job is a critical factor for property projects, particularly when they are for church development. Approve church applications to councils for planning and permits
As Prop Corp holds your church title as Trustee, it is a legal requirement that we sign or authorise the church to sign applications for planning and permits. Churches can ensure this process runs smoothly by keeping us informed well in advance. Often a church can benefit by having assistance in preparing the application from a professional such as a town planner. At other times legal advice may be required.
Advise on building project management
Building works will normally require permits and can impact on insurance cover and regulatory requirements. It is critical that your church seeks our advice before a project begins to ensure everything is in order.
