100 Years of Service

Prop Corp has been around a long time, in fact almost 100 years depending on how you count it.  That’s a lot of history, and like all history, its sometimes worth recounting the past, not just to avoid the threat of repeating it but so we can build positively into the future as well.

In recent months, the Churches of Christ Affinity regional meetings have generated discussion around what it means for a Church of Christ to have property held by the Churches of Christ Trustee, Prop Corp.  The basis of Churches of Christ trusteeship has always been a transparent and consultative process from the earliest inception of Prop Corp as the Church Extension Committee formed by, and accountable to, the Churches of Christ general meeting represented by all churches through to the current Prop Corp charter under a 1941 Victorian Act of Parliament publicly accessible to all.
